Let’s Reduce the odds

 

Unfortunately violence is on the increase in our society, and it’s important to protect ourselves, so that we can go about our normal lives safely and with confidence.  

Thinking that “It’s not going to happen to me” is not enough.  Hopefully it won't happen to you, but I would rather that you didn’t just rely on hope.

 

Most of us don’t want to study a martial art for years to learn how to fight... and we believe that you don’t have to. You need to learn how to fight back effectively in realistic situations, and also understand and learn how not to become the victim of an attack in the first place.

 

We here at Glamazon In defense , believe that every women should learn to equip themselves with the knowlege and tools of self defense..

 

1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime (14.8% completed rape; 2.8% attempted rape).117.7 million American women have been victims of attempted or completed rape.

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF.

Hi, My name is Bunmi (Boo-me) Hannah Lovee

I'm the CEO/Founder of Glamazon in Defense and the creator of the Glam Defense mobile app.  I'm also a 4-year certified Rape Aggression Defense instructor. R.A.D) Most importantly, I'm a woman who cares deeply about your safety, survival and well-being. I’m able to help women accomplish all of these through the power of self-defense and adequate education on defensive arts. My mission is to reduce the chances of violent crimes against women and girls by providing the knowledge, tools, and technique to give us a fighting chance and level the playing field.

1 out of 6 women has been a victim of attempted or completed rape.

According to the FBI from 1/1/18 to 12/31/18,  A total of 230,302 minorities were reported missing in the United States.

OUR NUMBERS 

of missing, sexually assaulted and human trafficked individuals are incredibly high. Our reality is wondering not if an assault will happen -- but WHEN an assault will happen and what decisions we will be faced with making.

As a solution to this problem, I believe in training and developing awareness in the following areas:

  1. Trusting your instincts

  2. Understanding the four "Risks" factors of Personal safety.

  3. Establishing and maintaining boundaries

  4. Having an offensive and defensive mindset.

  5.  Breaking down the myths and misconceptions of who and what is an attacker.

  6.  Increasing your reaction time and Developing a plan of action

Coupled with the R.A.D method, this training will enable you to increase your chances of escaping, resisting, and surviving a violent attack.

*STUN GUN RESTRICTIONS*

Many states have laws banning the possession or sale of stun guns. Glamazon in Defense will not ship stun guns where prohibited by law.

 

It is illegal to own or possess a stun gun in the following states:

â–¶ District of Columbia

â–¶ Hawai

â–¶ Illinois - Legal with restrictions. Excluding the city of Chicago, if you have a valid FOID permit, you may possess a stun gun.

â–¶ Massachusetts

â–¶ Michigan - Stun guns are prohibited. Only devices that contain an identification system that can be tracked.

Currently, TASERs are the only devices legal as long as you have a valid FOID permit.

â–¶ New Jersey

â–¶ New York

â–¶ Rhode Island

 

It is illegal to own or possess a stun gun in the following cities:

â–¶ Annapolis MD

â–¶ Chicago, IL

 

It is illegal to own or possess a stun gun in the following counties:
